About the Museum As a venue for temporary exhibitions, the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany offers a varied programme of international significance. Since the opening in 1992, the museum has hosted more than 100 exhibitions in the fields of visual art and cultural history, science and technology. These include individual exhibitions of major artists, group and thematic exhibitions as well as the series ‘The Great Collections’, in which famous museums from around the world present their central works.

With seating available for up to 500 people, the Forum is where concerts, performances, readings, conferences, film and theatre shows take place. During the summer months, international stars also hold open-air concerts under a canopied stage on the Museum Square. One of the particular attractions of the museum is the roof garden. Open to the public, the roof garden invites visitors to stroll, rest and recuperate, often with sculpture exhbitions on view. A library, book store, museum shop and restaurant of the Art and Exhibiton Hall offer further stimulation and attraction to visitors.
