Hamad live in Bath, Somerset, in the south west of England. His family came to Britain in 2007 from Kuwait.Hamad lives with his father and 38-year-old mother Alown Fadaa, a microbiology student, plus brother Fahad, 13, and sisters Wedad, eight, and Worood, four.
The schoolboy first started painting after his family moved from Kuwait to Bath, in north-east Somerset, three years ago. He saw his father Walid, an amateur artist, carrying a blank canvas under his arm and asked to borrow it. Like Picasso, several of Hamad’s works have an African influence – because Hamad works while listening to tribal drum music. Hamad Al Humaidhan has been signed up by an international art agency despite still being at primary school. The 4ft youngster has sold several of his paintings for £650 each and will hold his debut exhibition this summer. |
